Day 9 of 40...

Well, I spent the day in bed suffering from Diverticulitis. Not a fun thing to have. Takin' my meds and stayin' in bed for the next day or so. Pray for me that I recover soon. And keep living for Jesus.

  1. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you get well soon.

I have spoken with my friend yet again even after he last said some things that I did not like. As I mentioned in an earlier post, never give up as God does not give up. Well anyway, he was telling me how his job was really hard on him and that they are working him more than others and giving him all the hard things that no one wants to do making him struggle most of the time. So this is where I knew I could step in with an answer for him and told him that there is someone that could help him and that is Jesus. He did not say anything after that so I knew this was my chance to go on and told him that Jesus knows what we need and want. All is required of us is to believe and seek him first and all other things are given unto us. He then asked me how I knew this was true so I told him to take him and myself as an example. He graduated right before me yet got a job after me, he has been running left and right to find a job stressing out and all I did was throw my application out there (mostly my wife did) and let the rest in God’s good hands. Yet, I got a great job, great environment, an overall blessing, and all I did was pray every night to God saying “God you know what I need, you know all things before they pass my lips, you are the one true Lord in my life and threw you all things are possible” and few days later I was called in for an interview which happened to be my only interview and out of a few people on the list (more experienced than I) I was chosen as the best one.

At this point I was expecting him to do like last time and say some bad things but instead his next word was “interesting”. I know it’s not much but from a guy who takes God’s name in vain every single day, this was a good start. We are not the ones who change people’s lives we are but God’s sheep’s planting the seeds and the rest is in God’s hands to pierce the heart and clean it out.

Matthew 6:31: Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32: (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
